Jo England
Jo is an experienced psychologist and psychotherapist who uses a gentle approach to help people through challenging times. Therapy can be done both in person and online - depending on your preference and location. Online consultations take place using the program "Zoom" which is free to download.
As a psychologist Jo has been a full member of the Australian Psychological Society for 20 years. After completing psychodynamic therapy training Jo is also on the British Psychoanalytical Council accreditation for Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) and works in both the UK and Australia on line.
The main values that bring to life the service Jo provides, is the building of an attachment experience which helps us become aware of our selves with others. This carefully built sense of your self with another in the therapy is then taken into your life outside the therapy to build a more trusting and connected life in general.
These are values in common with the Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT) community, an evidence based therapy originating with Professor Peter Fonagy and Professor Anthony Bateman at The Anna Freud Centre, London, UK.
